**We don’t currently have an expert to mentor our students in this area. If you or someone you know is interested, give us a shout!

No! We are happy to assist you in assessing your needs and to offer ideas on how to more effectively and creatively advertise your business.

Absolutely! We know how overwhelming it can be to start a business from scratch. But let us help give you a boost with a new website, social media presence, flyers, business cards, etc.

Definitely! Whether you want to tweak your current logo or completely rebrand, let us help give you a fresh start!

Great question! And one that’s been debated for decades among marketing agencies.

Did you know that CocaCola & Pepsi used the same marketing agency? Yep! Same one as AT&T & Verizon. And Apple & Google. Their agency avoids conflict of interest ethics by splitting up their employees to work on the different accounts (on top of being sworn not to divulge trade secrets and strategies of the competition).

Because Ment does not offer competitive analysis or any other opportunities to divulge secrets, we don’t see conflict of interest as a problem in our agency.  Our clients will simply receive the services paid for, with no opportunity for favoritism. However, at a client’s request, Ment will use a tactic similar to the example above and will assign different students to clients with similar businesses.

We are currently accepting student applications for the following fields:

  • Graphic design
  • Photography (must own or have access to equipment)
  • Videography (must own or have access to equipment)
  • Social Media
  • Web Design
  • And more!

Can you offer businesses a creative service not mentioned above?

Yes! All of our positions for Mentors & Menterns are paid. While one of the main goals of Ment is to provide students an opportunity to get real world experience, we also know you need to make money!

There will occasionally be opportunity to work pro bono for a non-profit (great way to grow that portfolio), but it is entirely your choice to do so if desired.

None at all! The goal of Ment is to provide college  students an opportunity to gain real world experience and grow their portfolio before starting their full-time career.

If you have the passion and the natural talent, we want you to join our team regardless of experience. Our mentors will help you along the way.

Yes! You are allowed to work another job while working at Ment as long as there is not a conflict of interest with our clients.

Occasionally. When you apply, you will select which areas you are most comfortable, which areas you would prefer working, and which areas you are not necessarily good at, but are interested. Ment will attempt to distribute jobs as accurately and fairly as possible. And if you attend the team meetings regularly, you are able to provide even more input on the projects you prefer.

It’s up to you! Ment allows you the flexibility to work when you want.  Regardless of your location, meeting deadlines is crucial. Remote employees are expected to manage their time effectively and ensure that all tasks and projects are completed within the designated timeframes.

If you’re a night owl, hoot away. (My own personal creative prime time is between 10pm and 3am.) If you need to go out of town or work on weekends, go right ahead. Just don’t forget a laptop!

This structure allows you the ability to work as you might when/if you start your own business.

Yes and no. When you are working on your own or at our informal team meetings, you can wear casual clothing.

But when meeting with clients, we ask that all team members wear a Ment branded black top. To provide you more freedom, you may purchase the black top of your choice . Ment will cover the cost of embroidery.

Both. But mainly by yourself. At Ment, we want to mimic the freelance real world as much as possible. At the same time, we call ourselves a team for a reason. We provide mentorship and guidance as you work your way up to becoming a full-time freelancer. This includes brainstorming sessions and collaboration at team meetings. Our larger projects will often require more team members.
