Meet Alyssa

Project Coordinator

Alyssa Duany is a resourceful, collaborative, and resilient Communications and
Marketing Leader with a proven track record of driving engagement, building
communities, and creating measurable growth. She has led multi-channel
marketing campaigns and communication initiatives that increased brand
awareness, customer engagement, and revenue. Her expertise includes
developing infrastructure to support growth in marketing departments through
crafting and integrating marketing plans, budgets, content calendars, brand
guides, and SOPs.

Alyssa previously worked as the Director of Marketing and Communications for
the Center for Nonprofits & Philanthropy at Texas A&M University, where she led
their marketing and brand strategy. Through consistent branding and clear
messaging, she exponentially grew the center’s audience and brand awareness.
In this role, she created promotional materials, strategically planned and
managed marketing campaigns, and coordinated with others to grow programs
and services for the center. Before coming to Aggieland,

Alyssa worked as a Volunteer Coordinator for a midsized nonprofit in Tallahassee, FL. In that role, she networked with other nonprofit organizations in the area to gain a robust
understanding of the nonprofit sector and its unique benefits to society. In 2019, she served as a Team Leader for AmeriCorps NCCC in the North Central Region,
leading and managing a team of Corps members. This service year solidified her
passion for helping nonprofits increase their capacity and value to communities.
Alyssa graduated from the Bush School of Government & Public Service in 2022
with her Master’s in Public Service Administration, focusing on Public Policy
Analysis and Nonprofit Management. Originally from South Florida, Alyssa
graduated from Florida State University in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in
International Affairs and is still a proud supporter of the FSU Seminoles!
