ABOUT THE JOB:
Since its inception in 2018, Ment Marketing & Creative Services has sought to bridge the gap between college education and the workforce, particularly in the creative industry. At Ment, student Menterns get hands-on experience by working with real clients across a wide variety of industries while building their portfolios and resumes for their future careers. The students are mentored by Project Coordinators who are experts in their fields of marketing, web design, graphic design, and social media management. These mentors supervise and evaluate all work, review resumés, and teach new techniques. That’s where you come in! We need Project Coordinators who truly love what they do and are willing to teach students how to be successful in their future creative careers.
The Project Coordinator /Mentor…
- is skilled in digital marketing, marketing strategy, graphic design, social media management, and/or web design – and genuinely enjoys it!has a passion for mentorship and comfortable with giving students constructive criticism.
- takes initiative, does research, and tries to solve the problem on their own before asking questions.
- is reliable and responsible with an outstanding work ethic. They take pride in their work and respect deadlines.
- fits in with our existing team. (We like to laugh at our team meetings in between work.)
- is comfortable working remotely and willing to meet with clients and the team via Zoom.
Job Responsibilities:
- manage multiple client accounts and projects while also completing your own tasks which may include digital marketing, marketing strategy, graphic design, social media management, or web design
- work closely with the team and clients to ensure expectations and objectives are met in terms of deadlines, budget, and quality of work
- identify the most suitable members of the team to work on a project based on their skills, experience and workload
- set appropriate due dates according to client deadlines and contractor schedules
- provide ideas and input for projects
- send monthly project reports to clients & secure client approvals at each stage of the project
- take thorough and organized notes in meetings to send to the client and team
- keep our project management software organized and updated with detailed documentation
- maintain a shared folder of project files and documentation
- maintain communication with the client during a project and follow up after completion
Marketing Project Coordinator / Mentor Position: Contractor with potential to be promoted and/or moved to employee position. Must provide your own software and equipment. Mentors are welcome to continue working at other jobs or remain freelance as long as it doesn’t conflict with Ment’s clients. This is a part time position averaging 20 hrs per week with the opportunity for promotion; flexible hours; flexible vacation; the main requirement is that you meet the deadlines for the projects you commit to. Starting pay is $20/hr.

We have had remote team members in Texas, Alabama, Florida, and California, so you do not have to be local to Bryan, Texas. This position would be ideal for a creative stay-at-home mom (we have three on the team already!) and/or frequent traveler.
